Hey everyone who hasn't given up on my blog. I'm here to actually point you all to my new, more specialized, and cooler blog. It's here:
http://bmanart.blogspot.com
That is where I'm posting any and all my art stuff that I do in school or on my own, and it should be updated much more frequently. I'll keep this blog and maybe a couple times a year post some update but I have facebook and I'm sure anyone who is interested is on my friend list and if you aren't then just add me. Wow long sentence. Anyway, just wanted everyone to be aware so you can see what I'm doing and whatnot.

Could've been Golden
It happened. I'm 25 and on top of that I'm 25 on the 25th which makes this my golden birthday, which means absolutely nothing. It's just fun to say. Also, now that my headaches are finally going away I spend more time up and about. It's pleasant to be able to stand up for my birthday.

Anyway, I got gifts, some bought for myself and some given to me. Upon inventoring these gifts I came to a realization, or rather, had a previous realization pounded into my head. I still haven't grown up. For my birthday I got the first volume of the X-men animated series on DVD, it's about time they made that. I got a childrens' book that has some awesome art and it's funny called Psssst by Adam Rex, everyone should check it out.

And finally, I bought myself these babies:

I was at the store and came across these re-released Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toys from the 80's! How cool are these?! I got Bebop and Rocksteady because Rocksteady got eaten by my dog about 10 years ago and I never had Bebop. Anyone else would probably look at these and say "wow that's cool, I remember these," and walk off, but not me. My nostalgia goes to great lengths.
So for my b-day I got a cartoon, a kid book, and two action figures. My 5 yr old nephew, Jace, who's birthday is the 26th, got about the same thing.
PS: If anyone wants to come over for some Ninja Turtle battles, you know where to find me.

Fun little diversions of the day
So in what little free time I have these days I was watching Law and Order in the afternoon. USA Network shows 2 hours of Criminal Intent followed by 2 hours of SVU (the infinitely superior Law and Order). So I need to have a show I turn to during commercials because I absolutely despise/hate/loathe/abhore commercials, especially all the prescription drug ones. Hate them. I was flipping for my commercial show and came across this on Nickelodeon:
Jack Black on Yo Gabba Gabba
I couldn't figure out the direct link to the video but it's right on this page. This was the funniest and weirdest thing I've seen in quite some time. But totally awesome and this is now what I aspire to. Enjoy.

Progress
Today I was sitting/standing for over an hour. That is huge. I can feel that my headaches are getting less and less severe but they're still there and painful so I still lay down a lot, but today I muscled through the pain. The reason? My bro's copy of Guitar Hero: Metallica came in the mail and there was no way I wasn't going to play that game. Nothing quite like fake playing "Nothing Else Matters" with videogame versions of the band rocking out on your screen and the volume turned up. It was painful and oh so worth it. I just wanted to share my triumph. Now rejoice with me!

Also, I got 5 stars :)

A little review...
So I was serving my mission in Arcadia, California when my Leukemia which I so mercilessly beat down 2 years ago decided it wanted a rematch. I came home in January and went directly into the hospital for treatment. I breezed through the chemo and was just sitting bored in the hospital, and playing Guitar Hero with the nurses.
I got out after about 4 weeks and spent 10 glorious days at home, at least til I got a spinal tap and started getting horrible headaches whenever I wasn't completely horizontal. I went back into the hospital on Feb 17th for a bone marrow transplant from my brother, Darren, who happens to be as perfect a match as you can ask for. They gave me radiation and more chemo which were awful, and I received the actual transplant on Feb 26th. Apparently that is supposed to be a second birthday or something according to the doctors and nurses, so I will be expecting gifts and or phone calls on that day for the rest of my life :)
So I was again in the hospital for about 4 weeks until my bro's bone marrow engrafted in me and started making blood. Now I am home, still have headaches so I lay down most of the time but in a much more comfy bed than in the hospital. And that catches us up so my posts can be about the here and now.

I really don't feel like posting anything...
I've had this blog set up for a very long time and until now I hadn't done anything with it, so here I am posting. I feel like crap, having a growing headache which only goes away if I lay down. But when I get feeling better I'll put up some pics of whats going on with me. Until then, just watch this blog.
Take care
